Omaha/8 is a fast paced action poker game, with four cards dealt to players instead of 2 like in Texas Hold’em. So when players have more cards, they a bigger option to play a hand. when you play a hand more action and more action more fun.

You might get confused trying to make the best hand with your private cards and with the community cards. But if you played Texas holdem you should be fine with this variation also. There is also a riskier version of Omaha, Omaha High.
